5 Ways to fit exercise into a busy life ……that anyone can do!

Fitting exercise into your busy life is the same as fitting anything else in.  It’s about setting priorities and diarising your exercise times.  Making them non-negotiable, the same as you would any other appointment.

  • Have a plan - knowing what exercises you are going to do means you will get started straight away instead of fluffing around.
  • Have all your kit ready to go - that means shoes, clothes, etc. are handy and ready for you to jump straight into - no having to think about what to wear or searching for your shoes.
  • Get up an hour earlier and do your training.  Start with every other day then you can promise yourself a sleep in the next day.  To start it will be hard however your body will get used to the earlier schedule.
  • Get a trainer - a trainer will make you work harder and will motivate you.  Plus knowing they will be waiting for you mean you are less likely to bail.
  • Set a goal - sign up for an event.  Knowing you have an event coming up also means you are more committed to your training.
