About
I am a qualified Personal Trainer and Specialist in Sports Nutrition. I can help you improve your overall health and fitness, and develop sensible and sustainable nutrition habits. I’ll customise your fitness training and provide nutrition advice–based on government dietary guidelines, which will be fully accessible on a user-friendly mobile app. Using science-based principles, I can help you reach your health and fitness goals.
I take a holistic approach encompassing full-body training with nutrition advice tailored to meet your goals. This is the benefit of having a Personal Trainer in your corner, as opposed to joining an impersonal ‘big box gym’.
For my approach to training, I focus on Agility-Conditioning-Endurance in 60min sessions (warm-up, main workout, cool-down). My approach will improve your athleticism, body composition, and muscular endurance. You will gain total lean body mass, while losing total body fat mass.
If 60min sessions are not possible, I can design 20-30min HIIT sessions. With proper form, short HIIT sessions can be highly effective and more suitable to clients with hectic work demands and busy family life. This is where the importance of ‘structure’ comes in. To provide this structure, I apply science-based principles to developing fitness programs. And this provides the ‘scaffolding’ needed to meet your goals.
I’ll switch-up exercise routines that make use of floor equipment (kettlebells, dumbbells, agility ladder, battle rope, resistance bands, etc.), and weight racks for compound strength movements.
My background as a busy academic and researcher means that I understand the barriers that ‘time-poor’ professionals often face, to take control of their health and fitness.
