Front crawl recovery arm - tips from the poolside

This clip was recored at our Summer pool location in Waverley College, Sydney. Recorded for Assistant Swim Coaches to observe and learn how to demonstrate freestyle arm recovery poolside.

We see here, a method of dry land demonstration and explanation of key focal points that we use to practice, improve and perform freestyle arm recovery.

Remember by practicing out of the water, either standing (vertical), lying (horizontal), or this time in a forward leaning lunge position, we can help swimmers improve the freestyle arm recovery mechanic.

Stability allows the swimmers to slowly orchestrate the movements, observe, and feel what they should be doing... all of which is often lost when they get horizontal in the water!!!
